Security & privacy

Family information should stay with the people you trust.

Famly Link is designed toward strong privacy and security practices for sensitive family-care information. Here's what that actually means, in plain English.

Care Spaces

Each person being cared for has their own Care Space. Information from one Care Space is kept separate from every other — a caregiver helping two families never has those families mixed together.

Roles

Everyone joins with a role — family, caregiver, helper and more. A role decides what someone can do, and it's set per Care Space, not globally.

Permissions

Beyond roles, families control specific permissions — for example whether a caregiver can see medication information or Family Vault documents. Access rules are enforced by the database itself, not just hidden in the app.

Temporary access

Helping just this week? Temporary access expires automatically on the date the family sets — nothing to remember to revoke.

Private storage

Family Vault documents and voice updates are stored privately. Files are reached through time-limited links for authorized people only — never through public URLs.

Authentication & account controls

Sign-in is required to see anything. You can review and close active sessions, export your data and delete your account from Settings.

AI boundaries

The Famly Link Assistant can only work with information your own account is allowed to see. It never gives medical advice, never acts on its own, and families can switch AI features off per Care Space.

Data-sharing principles

We don't run behavioral advertising based on private care information, and product analytics record event names and counts — never medication names, care notes, message contents or document titles.

What we don't claim

We won't tell you Famly Link is “100% secure,” “unhackable” or “HIPAA compliant.” Claims like that need independent verification and legal review, and we won't make them without it. Instead, we build real controls — the ones listed above — and describe them accurately.

Famly Link helps families coordinate care. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or emergency services.
